Objectives

The centre emphasizes a holistic approach to child care and development and has four main objectives that encompass a child’s total development.

1

To provide a caring and safe environment, that minimizes trauma and maximizes developmental opportunities and promotes wellness of the children in our care.

2

To make all attempts to transfer children placed in our care at the centre into a less restrictive environment on the continuum of care by reuniting them with their biological families or foster families as required by the policies and stipulations in the Children’s Act(Act 38 of 2005).

3

To empower and support the children and their families to reach their maximum potential through therapeutic and skills training.

4

To ensure that the best interest of the children in our care are considered at all times through effective and sustainable programme management and ongoing monitoring and evaluation systems.
